Hy-Ko Products Co., Northfield Village, OH – 1992-2014

Inventory Control Manager 2000-2014

Developed and implemented quarterly inventory plans for a leading producer of numbers, letters and signs as well as keys and key machines.

Coordinated physical counts of over five thousand SKU’s on a quarterly basis.

Implemented, and was responsible for, layout of inventory items and their locations.

Advised and set-up the warehouse for inventory scanned material accuracy.

Managed and implemented all inventory functions using manual locator system and then to Powerhouse/WMS system.

Researched variances, negatives and made necessary adjustments to correct inventory and reported all discrepancies and set-up cycle count schedules.

Extracted data from Powerhouse/WMS using Excel and Crystal Reports to perform industry specific tasks on inventory.

Worked closely with cost accounting and external auditors day to day, quarterly, and at year end fiscal inventory to ensure accuracy.

Achieved variance levels as low as 1% or less on a $10 million inventory.

Implemented effective inventory and receiving procedures which allowed for lower inventory levels.

Utilized Crystal Reports to better track finished goods and WIP.

Worked directly with Plant Manager and Senior Buyer on accurate and reliable inventory which allowed for smooth implementation of the MRP system.

Formulated and implemented stringent Standard Operating Procedures which allowed for a higher accuracy of reconciling invoices versus receipts.

Established and controlled company standards, and established Standard Operating Procedures for packaging and warehousing allowing for more efficient processes and lower department costs.

Hyko Special Projects

Hy-Ko de Mexico – 2005-2014

Responsible for controlling and monitoring all inventory functions of Hy-Ko de Mexico, an independently operated warehouse and division of Hy-Ko Products.

Jandorf – 2007-2014

Performed all inventory related functions for Jandorf, a subsidiary of Hy-Ko Products. Analyzed, adjusted and problem solved all inventory discrepancies related to work order reporting and order input and processing.

Budget Wire – 2009-2014

Initiated and input monthly inventory of all finished goods, raw materials and WIP for Budget Wire, owned by Hy-Ko Products.

Shipping Supervisor – 1996-2000

Supervised a department of fifteen to twenty shipping clerks as well all warehouse personnel.

Coordinated with sales department to prioritize daily orders to be filled by shipping department.

Primary inventory coordinator for all inventory functions related to finished goods as well as raw material.
