HR Generalist II
Provides competent advice and counsel to Managers and Supervisors regarding Human Resource Management issues.
Develops and contributes to Human Resources program goals, initiatives and best-practices.
Researches, compiles data, drafts and prepares correspondence and written analysis for revising or creating Human Resources policies and procedures that are consistent with Federal and State laws and regulations.
Conduct and conclude employee investigations.

Provides benefit administration, involving open enrollment implementation and benefit information.

HR Generalist
Assists assigned departments with posting of vacant positions and recruiting for new personnel. Follows the HR procedures defined for posting, recruiting and new hires.
Assists assigned departments by processing FMLA requests based on County policy and FMLA law. Also coordinates meetings and hours awarded for associated sick leave pool requests.
Processes ADA requests for accommodation.
Processes workers’ compensation claims for assigned departments in accordance with Texas laws and regulations and coordinates claim processing with workers’ compensation insurance carrier.
For assigned departments, responds to former employee's Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) unemployment claims. Follows procedures to compile information in advance of TWC hearing, if applicable.
