International Paper is a global leader in the paper and packaging industry and supplies a wide range of products that people rely on every day .This project is developed as a Data Warehousing ETL for the client in Manufacturing and Sales. The data used to come in as flat file database and loaded. It contains the historical information of the enterprise. It is structured to support decision – making and statistical analysis.
Objectives
Data is collected from the disparate data sources and consolidated into cross-reference tables in a reporting database named the Reporting Enterprise Data Source (REDS). Informatica is being used as ETL tool to perform the consolidation and load processes from the staging databases into the REDS reporting repository. Informatica is also used to transmit and receive files to and from data sources through various FTP servers.
