Client had old (15 years) J D Edwards software package that had been heavily modified.
Served as part of a team to analyze and evaluate programs to replicate modifications to new Y2K compliant version of the software. The project was completed 3 months ahead of schedule.
Next, served as an independent consultant to perform Y2K conversion on a smaller legacy warehousing package. As at Wesley Hall I analyzed, reviewed, and procured software to do the conversion and managed the process from start to finish. The project was completed one month ahead of time.
From there I documented several small home grown applications that had been developed in the past without any documentation satisfying auditor requirements.
While consulting at Belks the corporation reorganized itself from over 30 entities to 1. The IRS required Belks to consolidate 30 different 1099 systems/procedures into 1. I took ownership and served as the focal point with users, staff, and management to bring data from multiple locations and platforms to 1 system for a single 1099 filing on the AS400.
