With a team of examiners, I conducted examinations of financial institution’s core financial components, capital, asset quality, management, earnings, liquidity, and market risk for safety and soundness and compliance with regulatory requirements. This includes an in depth analysis of the banks strategic direction, forecasted projections, and policies and procedures of control to determine the risk associated with them and their adherence to regulations. Internal and external audits, financial statements, reconcilements, and procedures are reviewed, analyzed and tested for accuracy and adequacy. Job duties included internal control reviews of bank work processes and procedures; reviewing and assessing of accounting records and documentation using appropriate methods and techniques to determine accuracy; and conducting background research of specific economic, geographic and financial problems affecting banks as it pertains to their particular market area. In conclusion of exams, I prepared written reports that outlined all of my findings and included recommendations based on regulatory requirements and proper financial practices based on the specified area. Noted inadequacies and deficiencies are discussed with bank management to inform management of the corrective actions necessary, the reasons and benefits of those corrective actions and assurance that it will be taken.
