-Studied the effects of phenanthrene on kRas contained in mouse lung adenoma cells
-Maintained short-term care of adenoma cells through bi-weekly cell passaging
-Dosed cells with chemical and observed cell survival using both a LIVE/DEAD assay and fluorescent microscopy
-Extracted RNA from adenoma cells
-Observed changes in gene expression by testing RNA with techniques including qRT-PCR, SDS-PAGE, and by Western blotting
-Compared with results from healthy cells and results from adenoma cells dosed with other chemicals contained in cigarettes
