Working closely with my professor Dr. Swapan Ghosh, we were able to exercise widely used immunology techniques to determine if a chemical is stimulating or inhibiting immune systems (immunotoxicity and immunogenicity). Mice and rabbits were injected with strains of Staphylococcus Aureus to monitor their immune response. To combat the S. Aureus, vaccines were designed and created to counter the immunogen.
