Project Title: “Information Flow Control For Web Security”

Guide: Dr. R.K. Shyamasundar, Senior Professor, TIFR, Mumbai.

Worked on the WebAuth protocol by initially deriving security and functional requirements and then creating labels for

various objects in the WebAuth scenarios.

Successfully designed information flow diagram for various WebAuth scenarios based on above requireme nts.

Proposed two level of defense against the vulnerability existed in the WebAuth protocol based on the information flow

diagram.

Academic Projects

Custom Shell – Command Interpreter [2012-13]

Type: Individual Project

Main role: Developer

Guide: Dr. Soumyajit Dey, Asst. Professor, IIT Patna

Developed and implemented the shell using C.

Implemented functions for cd, exit and pwd commands using their respective system call functions.

Also supports file redirection and batch mode execution of commands.

Online Hostel Management System [2012-13]

Type: Team Project

Main role: Back End Developer

Guide: Dr. Samrat Mondal, Asst. Professor, IIT Patna

Designed and developed a website using HTML5, CSS3 and PHP by working in a team of 4 members.

Provides information about the percentage of complaints solved by the hostel authorities,, information about individuals

residing in hostel and various other features.

Worked as a back end developer and also integrated the backend with the frontend for various webpages.

Mail User Agent for IIT Patna’s local webmail [2013-14]

Type: Individual Project

Main role: Developer

Guide: Dr. Ashok Singh Sairam, Asst. Professor, IIT Patna.

Designed and implemented graphical mail user agent in Java using sockets and Swing.

The GUI comprises of the fields like From, To, Subject and Message.

Used SMTP commands for sending and receiving messages to and from the mail server respectively.

Extra-Curricular Activities & Achievements

Participated in TechXplore’14 event organized at IIT Patna on the occasion of IEEE Student Branch Foundation day.

Played Cricket for 5 seasons in Patna Premier League(PPL) organized by IITP students.

Received Merit cum means scholarship for four consecutive years of B.Tech programme.

Participated in various events of Anwesha (Annual Techno -Cultural Fest Of IIT Patna) 2k12 and 2k13.
