3500 Platform CPI Engineer

April 2014 – Present (10 months) Lafayette, IN
Platform engineer working on CPI (Current Product Improvement) issues, cost reduction projects, and special customer request projects for the 3500 engine in machine applications. Responsible for the engine as a system, managing the space claim around the engine, and protecting the manufacturing facility when quality issues arise.
•Closed 5 CPI (Six sigma) projects including one led by myself in 2014.
•Released a new engine for the 797B Truck, a 24 cylinder tandem.
•Led a project to add the Niehoff alternator to the 797B 3524 tandem.
•Led a direct ship project to fix issues with the 6060 Shovel engine after the Bucyrus acquisition
