Director of Special Markets, Billing/COBRA Administration for The Boon Group

• Oversee the Administration of the Special Markets area as well as the Billing and COBRA area. Do strategic planning

in order to streamline processes and assist in growing the business for the Company.

• Conduct Open Enrollment calls with clients to coordinate new plan designs for the new plan year and also work closely

with Account Management on all Government Group(s) fringe increases for richer benefit options.

• Maintain a Project Management list for all upcoming and ongoing projects in the Austin office as well as track IS

projects occurring throughout the company.

• Direct the Implementation of all Administrative Services only groups from Sales throughout the on boarding process.

Oversee the Implementation of the Fringe Accounting practices fo r SCA and DBA Federal Contracts.

• Provide guidance and mentoring to the various teams regarding compliance to ensure the processes occurring or

procedures being implemented for our clients are compliant.

• Resolve escalated and complex employee and client issues.

• Create and track job specific metrics in order to determine efficiency of the departments as well as when to adjust

staffing.

Manager of Government Billing, Commercial Billing and COBRA Administration for The Boon

Group

• Interview, hire and train 18 team members including COBRA team members, Commercial Billing Representatives,

Government Billing Representatives, and a department Supervisor which in total handle the billing and reconciliation

functions and COBRA administration for over 250 clients; delegate responsibilities, evaluate performance and mediate

conflicts.

• Department handles all billing functions for COBRA administration, Commercial Billing, and Government Billing

platforms including monthly invoicing to the clients, self-billing administration, fringe accounting, reconciliation

functions, and individual billing functions where individual membership is provided a monthly invoice in order to remit

monthly carrier premium payments for insurance coverage.

• Conduct Open Enrollment calls with clients to coordinate new plan designs for the new plan year and also work closely

with Account Management on all Government Group(s) fringe increases for richer benefit options.

• Work directly with Implementation in order to assist with the client set up and on boarding of the administration of the

group in order to ensure a smooth transition.

• Conduct yearly reviews for wage increase and work with team members regarding high -level client issues; oversee new

client implementations and work with sales department in answering RFP questions for potential business .

• Work directly with the internal legal department on all COBRA processing and procedures and carrier specific billing

rules to ensure the department is operating within carrier(s) compliance.

• Work with other departments on process improvements; test new processes and system fixes for IS department .

• Monitor Government Billing, Commercial Billing and COBRA production schedule ensuring tasks are completed in a

timely manner; oversee rate review quality/control processes after client rates are entered into the billing and COBRA

system; run system updates and prepare department for the open enrollment influx.
