The application of scientific concepts to understand the various real life phenomena has been a lifelong passion of mine. The ubiquitous presence of science and technology, and its immense impact on our lives fascinated me, and reinforced my interest in science during school days. This made engineering an obvious career choice for me, and I chose to pursue Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at PES Modern College of Engineering. A research career in academia being my ultimate aim, I believe that some more research field knowledge before starting graduate studies will help me in honing the knowledge and skills I have developed during my undergraduate years and professional life and enable me to fulfil my ambition of being in the forefront of research in my chosen field. My formative years at college helped me in identifying my areas of interest and developing the necessary knowledge required to be able to pursue my graduate studies. In my first year itself I was introduced to the field of system design based on microcontrollers and communications while working with a group of seniors engaged in a project. It was all very fascinating, designing circuits on paper, hand soldering them on a general purpose PCB, and then spending hours debugging the circuit and the code. In my second year, I was a part of our college ROBOCON team and was worked as a Head of Electronics Instruments for Designing, Testing, Debugging and Maintaining all electronic part of our team, which helped me in developing circuits and processor architecture and enhanced my knowledge and understanding of the working of a whole Robotic system. From my childhood, I have interest in Astronomy and Space Science. It was manifested when I attended a International Conference at NCRA, Pune during my third year. In that conference, I have introduced to a new level of Instrumental Astronomical Observations. I have also visited as a student to GMRT, Pune, and had a knowledge about how a Radio Telescope works. My Final year project is also based on City Level Remote sensing using Airship. Also, I want to make my career in Research and Development field of Communication Technology. I hope I will be provided with this opportunity and it develops into a long and mutually rewarding relationship.
