deficiencies and improve cleaning, inspection, disassembly, repair, and overhaul of high-value

jet engine bearings for a company that repairs a variety of bearings for the aviation and energy

i ndustries. Design tooling in CAD. Provide pertinent technical guidance to production team

members. (Employed full-time in 11/14. Worked 10 hours weekly from 11/13 through 11/14.)

• Systems Engineering – P LC P rogramming: Develop, test, and produce a broad variety of

p rograms to set up and operate PLC manufacturing/test equipment in an efficient and cost-

effective manner. Continually monitor and re-evaluate project specifications to maximize

benefits of state-of-the-art technology. Review and analyze product measurements compiled by

P LC to identify deficiencies in high-value bearings and associated components for jet engines

by CFM, Rolls-Royce, Pratt and Whitney and Bell Helicopter.

• P roject M anagement – Pu rchasing: P lan, manage, and schedule multiple projects to

ensure internal production capabilities can deliver products to meet clients’ delivery dates of

one week to six months. Plan and negotiate purchase price of materials, supplies, equipment,

and 3rd party resources to control cost and maximize profitability.

Achievements:

• Revenues/Profits: I ncreased profitability within 90 days by redesigning and implementing

lean manufacturing processes that immediately improved product quality, reliability, and

p roductivity. Achieved a 20% increase in revenues.

o Contactless Laser Measurement: Recruited and hired by management to develop

and implement a software tool to improve production operations for an underutilized,

l aser measurement device. Wrote, tested, and produced the final GUI in VB.net in one

week which successfully increased company profitability by offering customers greater

ease of access and faster turnaround time to securing ultra-precise measurements.

• Quality Engineering: P rovided technical guidance to 25 production, rework, and customer

service personnel who assembled the Pratt and Whitney PT6 turboprop engine produced by

one of the world’s largest, privately owned companies offering aftermarket services to the

aviation industry. Continually monitored production processes to anticipate potential issues,

i dentify process improvements, and correct defective processes. Developed repair schemes,

technical Instructions, drawings (Solid Works/ ProEngineer), and specific work scopes for

engine repair (Light Overhaul/Overhaul). Produced one Test Accepted engine daily.

Achievements:

• Revenues/Profits: Recognized by management for developing an effective repair scheme and

p rocedures to “Return to Service” parts which had been previously scrapped. Recovered more

t han $2 million for the company per year.

A utomation Cont rols Engineer (5.5 years)

• Engine Ce rtification: Tested, t roubleshot, and certified Pratt and Whitney, Rolls-Royce,

Honeywell, and other jet/turboprop engines to ensure compliance with OEM performance

specifications. Developed extensive software to allow the test cell department’s data

acquisition system to finalize testing of aircraft engines. Designed wiring diagrams for test

cell schematics. Installed and tested electrical wiring for safety, reliability, and performance.
