§Independent contractor with skilled nursing facilities (SNF), as well as participate on a citywide assessment team for Chicago Public Schools (CPS) for 3 days per week. Duties include: Provide direct speech/language tx to adults with a variety of cognitive/language & swallowing disorders. Supervise and train SLPAs, evaluate and attend IEP meetings for children.

Trained nursing staff by conducting in-services on topics such as: how to work with and promote independence for patients with swallowing disorders, as well as how to program and encourage use of augmentative alternative communication devices (AAC).
§Managed and trained a team of 20-40 occupational therapists, physical therapists and speech therapists while remaining 30%-50% productive over multi-site skilled nursing facilities. Provided speech and language tx to geriatric population. Responsible for financial budgeting of the department, meeting financial goals, and making fiscally responsible decisions.
