Developing electronic stimulator under medical FDA control for patients suffering from acute pain or

lack of muscle control. Devices are designed for pain management and functional rehabilitation.

Interfacing with Chinese supplier to produce finished product. Developing process for patients to use

NMES (neuromuscular stimulation) and TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) for longer

periods of time to maximize results and minimize recovery time. Device includes Bluetooth

transceiver. Development of hardware with Altium PCB software.

Provided development assistance to organizations seeking factory reporting systems based on TCP -IP

protocols such as MTConnect and TML. Developed embedded nodes for data collection and

monitoring of legacy systems with full graphics display HMI. Written in C, C++ and C#. RF devices,

antennas, and communicating systems. Member of MTConnect advisory committee.

Developed software in C# for streamlining the testing of automated gaging systems using distributed

TCP/IP socket connections to controllers. Remote sensing through innovative use of RF

technologies. Development of hardware with Altium PCB software.

Internal auditor and major contributor to ISO9000:2000 quality system. Developer of expert system

for matching customer requirements to product engineering with resultant interface to order entry

which significantly reduced errors and provided higher quality, on-time systems. Company

significantly downsized in 2009 with a resultant large reduction in workforce.

Responsible for development of commercial data fusion products, including marketing, sales and

product development in multiple vertical markets. Expert in TML (Transducer Markup Language)

used to data-fuse sensors from simple limit switches to complex systems utilizing synthetic aperture

radar. Program manager for $30 million ACTD in data fusion. RF design for communication to

battle UAV. Interim top secret clearance. Fluent in C#, C, C++, Visual Studio .net, Java, Eclipse

Framework, Matlab/Simulink, Microsoft Office products, Web Development, and IT technologies.

Obtained broad patent protection for proprietary data fusion language and protected IP rights through

court action, allowing unimpeded commercialization of software products. Company purchased by

ArgonST and moved to Virginia.

Responsible for all engineering functions in a $4M technology company. Chairman of Product

Planning Committee with responsibility for market and competitive product analysis. Created proj ect

selection algorithm that is used for matching opportunities, capabilities and risk. Brought many

industrial control products, including power switching systems, to the marketplace using internal staff

and Wi-Fi remote monitoring. Development of hardware with Altium PCB software.

Designed and developed the first microprocessor based balancer system - the BalaDyne III. Provided

all circuit design and software development for that project. Subsequently created the BalaDyne IV,

which set the industry standards for features, reliability and performance in active balancing systems.

Primary design contributor to software (C/C++ embedded and Windows C++ client) and embedded

hardware architecture. Responsible for all certification testing for UL, CE and creator of ISO9000

quality system. Company subsequently purchased by the Lord Corporation and moved to North

Carolina.

Operations Manager and Chief Engineer

Interactive Systems/3M (RF modem mfg.), Ann Arbor, MI March 1976 to Jan 1986

Member of management troika that guided and directed this 20 million dollar business unit before it

was profitably sold to Allen Bradley. Responsible for all technical affairs of the company, including

management of a $3 million R&D budget and 50 technical personnel.

Responsible for technical evaluation of new company acquisitions. Reviewed fiber optic and

baseband LAN companies for acquisition and became part of technical transition team.

Developed telecommunications equipment for broadband cable networks. Hardware and software

design for IEEE 802 RF packet switch systems. Designed RF transceivers for low speed (100 Kbps)

and high speed (2.5 Mbps) 30 through 500 MHz operation. Represented 3M as member of IEEE 802

committee for broadband and baseband standards. Designed microprocessor based packet switch

LAN devices to connect to broadband system. Software development used embedded C with 6809

processor.

RF Engineer

Motorola, Communications Division, Schaumburg, IL April 1974 to March 1976

Designed miniature RF voice/data communication devices for government security agencies.

Developed proprietary techniques to contain RF die into thick-film modules that would withstand the

rigors of violent deployment.
