JOB TITLE: Heavy Duty/ Drill Rig Mechanic

Currently, I am working with Mantrac Ghana Limited as a Senior Mechanic/Forman in the workshop and field. I have competently worked with Mantrac Company for more than six years.

The following are my details of my responsibilities.

RESPONSILITIES

Undertake Daily Field and workshop maintenance

Equipment Servicing

Daily Safety Check

Shut-Down Maintenance

Break-Down Maintenance

Daily Maintenance work on Dump Trucks, Motor Grade, wheel Loader (992G), Dozer (D10T and D10N)

DUTIES

Use caterpillar Electronic Technology(ET) (Cat Laptop) to perform the following functions: Diagnostic test, Sensor calibrations, Flash programme, parameters Settings, Cylinder Cut-out, injector coding,hydraulic carlibration and auto grease timing.

Change of oil and filter

Manually samples for SOS oil schedule

Carry out coolant and oil analysis

Change schedule filters on the caterpillar machines during services

Change worn out tracks, tracks segment and cutting edges

Change leaking cylinders and resealing cylinders

Under-carriage repairs by on worn out down rollers, idlers, tracks guards,bogies and telescoped frame repairs

Change temperature regulators, injectors, fuel transfer pumps, hydraulic electronic unit, injector pumps and water pumps change unit.

Repairing of the following pumps( hydraulic, transmission, water and fuel pump)

Rebuilding of the following components( final drive, wheel station, control valves, radiators, torque converters and transmission)

Carried out valve adjustment and fuel setting

Troubleshooting and fixed defects.

General component change out and installation

Use (SIS) service information support to look for the break-down parts and other spare part needed for servicing.

Back to the Golden Star Resource Limited, I worked on the both Caterpillar machines and Drills Rig especially Atlas Cop machines like ( Cop Rod L7,L8F9, MAC2L7 and L8 for explosions)
