Maintain nightly operation of eleven buildings on hospital campus. 12 hour shift coverage
of 7 high pressure boilers 4 steam, 3 water. Monitoring critical equipment for areas such as
operating rooms and emergency rooms. Assuring proper temperature through air handlers and
VAV’s. Operation of Central Chiller Plant, steam powered absorption chillers and all related
support systems such as cooling towers and pumps. Maintaining proper steam pressure (from
central plant) through three reducing stations. Touring all building mechanical rooms, logging
temperature and pressures, checking operation and status of air handlers, control air compressors,
heating and cooling pumps, hot water generators and pumps. Answering house calls for eleven
buildings, such as hot/cold calls, plumbing and electrical problems.

M-1 Operations Engineer – (December 2003 to August 2006)
Daily operation of large tonnage chillers and towers, high pressure steam, reducing stations,
large capacity heat exchangers for heating and domestic hot water and associated pumps.
Controlling some systems with Johnson control energy management system. Responsible for
comfort of all meeting rooms, restaurants and all common areas including the lobby and Grand
Ballroom. Duties include repairing all kitchen equipment; fryers, ovens, slicers, walk-in
refrigerator/freezers and dishwashers. As well as solely answering room calls for 330 hotel rooms.

Solo watch of 36 story office building, four days out of five. Duties include taking over shift
from engineer on duty, receiving any information concerning building operations on the previous
shift. Meeting with the chief engineer to get any special directions for the shift. Daily tasks,
maintaining building core temperature of "72" degrees, by means of steam system or chiller
system. Monitoring all building operating systems via Carrier computer system. Draining and
filling of coils for season operation, changing of filters when needed. Repair and replacement of
damper actuators and air lines. Installation of air compressors and piping. Manual and
modulating valve repair and replacement pump isolation for repair or replacement. Trouble
shooting and repair of split systems, T/S&R motor controls, recording of amperage draw in
circuits. Performing lighting tests to confirm computer status. Perform generator and fire pump
tests, isolation of floors, draining and filling of buildings sprinkler system. Abling and disabling
points via fire control panel, escorting fire department through building during emergencies
logging each event. Ordering of parts, tools and equipment. Answering tenant complaints in a
professional but personable manner.
