Worked as research officer at All India Institute of Speech and Hearing in AIISH research
funded project entitled “Speech evoked ABR & LLR in children with (C) APD” from 30th
Sept 2013 to 29th Oct 2014.
Clinical experience
1) Diagnostics
• Have dealt with Pure Tone Audiometry in different kinds of clinical population
and in difficult to test population.
• Have dealt with Play/conditioning Audiometry, Visual Reinforcement Audiometry
and Behavioral Observation Audiometry in many pediatric populations.
• Have dealt with different kinds of special tests like Short Increment Sensitivity
Index (SISI), Tone decay test, Alternate Binaural Loudness Balance (ABLB) Test
and tests for pseudohypacusis (Functional hearing loss/ malingering).
• Have adequate experience in dealing with Impedance Audiometry and
Otoacoustic Emissions (OAEs).
• Have experience in carrying out Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry
(BERA) and Long Latency Responses (ALLR) in adults and children.
• Have experience in diagnosing individual with auditory neuropathy.
• Have experience in differential diagnosis of cochlear Vs retrocochlear pathology.
• Have experience in assessing disorders like language disorders (Aphasia, Mental
retardation, Autism), Articulation disorders (Dysarthria, apraxia, misarticulation)
voice disorders and stuttering.
• Have experience in using instruments like Vagmi, Dr. Speech, MDVP, nasometer.
2) Hearing aid trial
• Have dealt with selection of different kinds of body level hearing aids for children
and adults.
• Have dealt with electroacoustic measurements of different hearing aids.
• Have dealt with programming of digital hearing aids of different companies.
• Have knowledge about current trends and developments in the area of hearing
aids.
3) Ear mould
• Have adequate experience in making regular hard and soft ear moulds.
• Have dealt with making of shell and skeleton ear moulds.
4) Therapy
• Have experience in handling many children with hearing impairment.
• Have provided Auditory Verbal therapy (AVT) -principal based therapy for
children with hearing impairment.
• Have dealt with children having other disorders like mental retardation, cerebral
palsy along with hearing impairment (Multiple disorders).
• Have experience in handling children and/or adults with Articulation disorders,
Behavioral problems, Autism and other language disorders along with Voice
disorders, Stuttering etc.
5) Noise Measurement.
• Have experience infield noise measurement (Road traffic noise measurement,
school noise measurement..etc)
• Have experience in room acoustics, seminar hall noise measurement.
• Have experience in Pre employment audiometry, annual audiometry, monitoring
audiometry and post employment audiometry.
6) Vestibular Testing
• Have experience in carrying out different vestibular behavioral test,
Electrophysiological test ( cVEMP, oVEMP, CHAMP etc)
• Have experience in helping out in caloric test, ENG and VNG
