ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Online Data Backup and Synchronization using Amazon Web Services, C# and ASP.Net
December 2014
This project is designed and developed to provide an online backup solution to allow user to
back up and manage their data in the cloud.
It allows efficient incremental backups to save bandwidth and storage space.
It has a scheduler to keep backups up-to-date automatically.
Hypothesis testing on Weather Stations DataSet using HBase and Mahout
November 2014
Tested a hypothesis, “Classifying a country based on average elevation” using Mahout,
which provides an implementation of various machine learning algorithms like Naïve Bayes
Classifier.
An Analysis of the United Kingdom’s Road Accident data Using Machine Learning Techniques using R
and MATLAB April 2014
This project is to predict the risk involved in taking up a road travel in UK based on different
factors.
The accident severity is predicted from the vital attributes identified using Principal
Component Analysis.
For classification and prediction we had built decision trees and support vector machine.
Developed an android application called Campus-Connect using Android Studio and SQLite for
backend. April 2014
Students can view grades, classes enrolled, events happening on campus and campus news.
Students can also know the changes in class schedules.
Q-Learning for the PD world- Learning paths from rewards. March 2014
This project was done using Java and it was mainly concerned about learning optimal path
to reach pickup and drop-off cells using different policies like PRANDOM, PEXPLOIT.
Exploratory Data Analysis for a Pima Indians Diabetes Dataset using R. November 2013
This project was done as part of my course work to learn how to manage and preprocess
datasets and how to compute basic statistics and to create basic data visualizations in R.
Anonymizing Classification data for privacy preservation done during my Bachelors.
It is a console application used for maintaining large databases especially in hospitals with
high privacy preservation by using K-Anonymization Algorithm. The project was done using
Java and My SQL for backend.
DISTINCTIONS AND AFFILIATIONS
Won “On the Spot Award” in TATA Consultancy Services, India.
Stood among top 10 out of 120 during my bachelors.
