ACADEMIC PROJECT
Member of a 3 persons team that successfully designed an assistive system to help sight impaired individuals
navigate. The system consisted of a light weight depth map camera to capture the environment, a lap-top, a
tactile belt made of micro vibrators and an Arduino micro-controller that interfaced the software with the belt. I
designed and built the belt, programmed the micro-controller and wrote the communication layer of the system
software. I also wrote a simulation program to bench test the hardware.
