Description

The project involves the testing of the Archie Spinal Cord Stimulation

(SCS) System and Nighthawk Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) System.

Neuromodulation is a technology where alteration or modulation of nerve

activity is done by delivering electrical or Pharmaceutical agents directly

to a target area within the body. Archie SCS is one type of Neuromodulation

application which is used for the treatment of ischemic disorders.

Nighthawk DBS is another type of Neuromodulation application which is used

for the treatment of Parkinson disease.

This is a testing project involving understanding the software requirements

and test objectives, creation of test protocols and automation test scripts

to evaluate the Archie SCS system and Nighthawk DBS system, unit testing,

review of test objectives and automation test scripts and execution of

automation test scripts.

Responsibilities

> Creation of test data, test conditions and test cases from Use Case,

Identification of test cases to be automated for regression testing.

> Automation of test cases using Ranorex. Use of PHP Script, User

Defined Functions, and Data Driven approach, Recovery Scenarios,

Descriptive Programming, FileSystemObject, Excel Object, XML Object

and SQL queries (for verifying the database) in the script.

> Handled Automated Regression Test Execution that involved creation of

Description

This project will provide clinician programmer software to run on a Tablet

PC to provide a Programming Planning Station useable by neurosurgeons,

neurologists, and clinician programmers.

The DBS Image Registration summarized in the following steps:

1) Target identification and localization on the patient pre-op MRI scan;

2) Mapping of the initial target location on to the physical location in

the patient's head;

3) Intraoperative renitent of the target location using microelectrode

mapping;

4) Placing of the final DBS electrodes in the deep brain target structure.
