“PERSONALIZED WEB RECOMMENDER SYSTEM BASED ON COLLABORATIVE FILTERING”

Objectives :To provide personalized support in on-line course sources system, a semantic web-based personalized learning

service is proposed to enhance the learning, efficiency.

Description : Collaborative Filtering, firstly proposed by rich, is widely used in commercial recommender system. The

Tremendous growth of information resources and services on the web has made web personalization indispensable tool

for the end users. Web personalization can be described as any action that makes the web experience of a user customized

to the user’s taste or preference. Principle element of web personalization include modeling of web objects (such as pages

or products) and subjects (such as users and customers), categorization of objects and subject, matching between and across

objects and/or subjects, and determines of the set of actions to be recommended for personalization. The basic idea of CF

is to predict and recommend the potential favorite items for a particular user by data collected from similar users.
