Manual and Automated Electronic Assemblies Rework Technician

Specialized technician with hands-on approach in highly complex

rework processes; thorough experience of 15+ years in manual and automated

soldering, owner of the rework operation for a large contract manufacturer

company in Silicon Valley, responsible for the setup of Pb-free rework

operations and development of new technology assembly rework.

Extensive experience on assemblies for several market segments, such

as Enterprise, Consumer (Large and small form factors), Military and

Medical products and applications. Exposed to multicultural environment and

able to interact very well with engineering, managers and operators alike

in driving common goals as they relate to the re-furbish, upgrades and

overall rework operations.

Main role: Manage the rework operation as related to implement RMA rework

instructions, highly specialized automated rework, component upgrades,

removal, redressing and replacement, preparation of components for failure

analysis. Specialized in Prototypes and New Product Introduction (NPI)

setup new profiles for new customers on SRT 1100HR.

Stockroom part ordering, consumables inventory and orders for

replenishment, aid in tooling design and requirement specifications.

Provide feedback and recommendations to engineering as related to rework

process requirements and operational deliverables.

I was frequently requested by customers to exclusively rework their product

only.

Examples of product requirements and expertise in complex rework:

Multi-layer PCBA rework up to 36 layers for both, PTH and SMT Sn/Pb

and Pb-free assemblies.

PoP rework, dual and triple stack, 0.5 on 0.4mm pitch devices

Interposer manufacturing

Component re-balling (preform, template, printing, etc.)

Hyper BGA rework (2800+ pins)
