Recent Accomplishments:
. Lead Engineer on multiple highly customized deposition systems,
including multi-pass tape systems for superconductors, magnetron
systems for advanced materials research, evaporator systems. Systems
incorporated material handling, in vacuum heaters, laser heaters,
magnetrons, EBeam evaporators, Ion Sources. Responsible for system
layout and design, component specification, vendor and assembly
support.
. Designed, purchased and assembled the first multi-pass tape systems
for superconductors with-in budget and delivered on time at PVD. The
customer purchased a second unit due to performance and timely
delivery of the first unit.
. Received a patent on a low cost method for creating an X-ray optic
condenser which in turn kept the overall project with-in budget.
. Designed, assembled and tested a walk-thru bomb detection portal with-
in a given budget. The device involved a large high speed z-stage,
rotary stage and piston actuators as well as a directional sound
system. Currently being tested by the TSA.
