Objective: I am seeking a position as Estimating Engineer or Project

Manager at a construction company, in San Diego.

Experience: I have many years of experience in the construction industry

as a Civil Engineer, few years in design and many years as estimating

engineer & construction manager. Since 1988, I have worked in the

construction industry in San Diego, as project manager & estimator.

The following summarizes some of the responsibilities that I have

successfully mastered:

- Management of multiple construction projects: supervising project

superintendents, coordinating equipment and manpower requirements of

parallel projects, responsible for on-time completion of the projects,

as well as their profitability and quality. Actively, searching for

value engineering solutions for every construction project under my

command.

- Preparation of construction project estimates and bid documents:

Study of plans & specs, generating RFIs, preparing quantity take-offs,

contacting subs & suppliers, evaluation & comparison of bids by subs &

suppliers. Evaluate the construction of the project scenario with the

company field managers to ascertain equipment and manpower requirement

of the project. Preparing the final cost estimate based on historical

cost data and new prices received for the project.

- Preparation & administration of construction contracts, including

correspondence, attending project meetings, negotiations with project

owners.

- Financial Management of construction projects, including regular

cost control, monthly invoicing, identification and preparation of

change-orders.

- Procurement Management & Administration of construction projects,

including negotiations with subs & suppliers.

- Preparation of construction schedules, including regular updates.

- Preparation of traffic control plans, project submittals SWPPP,

WPCP, Securing permits and preparing project as-builds, etc.

Education: BSc degree in Civil Engineering

Master's degree in Business Administration
