To Receive and Manage Patient in operation Theatre

Receive the patient shifted to operation Room from concern Dept. With Medical

Records Check Operation Schedule to confirm that case Check patient Medical

records for :

a. Identification

b. Investigation

c. Concerned for Surgery

d. Pre-Operative Checklist Clearance from (Optional)

If any requirements are left out report to doctor / anesthetist

Shifting the patient to Operation Table

Vital signs are monitored continuously

Assist during surgery

Counts sponges, sharps, instruments

After extubation, based on patients condition patient is shifted to post operated ward /

ICU as per

Instruction of the doctor with medical records.

Operation Register / Nurses Note update on the surgery and enclosed in patients records.

Checking the replacement medicine.

Providing Assistance during Surgery

Check all the instrument trays other if any before patient arrives.

Keep the unit ready for surgery

Scrub and arrange instruments for operation

Assist surgeon during surgery

Helping in transferring patient before and after surgery inside tae operation room After

surgery clean, dry, pack and instruments for sterilization. Keep crash cart up to date.

Ensure cleanliness and follows aseptic precautions Ensure that right patient is sent to

right operation room for right procedure

Ensure that all the patients are attended by the nurse
