Role and Responsibilities

. Read the specification and understand the project requirements.

. Attending weekly or monthly meeting with the project team & site

production team's (for painting work related issues).

. To carry out inspection on platform and painting activities accordance

. Specification requirement and standard.

. Responsible in inspection reports.

. Ensure that carryout all production, inspection and Safety as Project

Specifications and HSE Standard.

. Ensure and check proper storage and preservation.

. Inspection of materials and batch certificate and expiry date.

. Ensure that for all required inspection holds points that have been

established by the project specifications and ITP.

. Monitor the environment condition (Relative humidity, Dew point, Air

temperature and steel temperature to be checked and recorded at least

four times daily)To carry out production test e.g. adhesion tests,

cross cut test and etc.

. Provide painting inspection reports.

. Involved in blasting & painting inspection activities internal and

external vessel.

. To verify surface preparation, coating application thickness as per

requirement.

. Witness coating application with client.

. Carried out inspection together with client's inspector to ensure good

quality.

. Carried out inspection hydro jetting, blasting and mech power

toolingSurface preparations.

. Was involved in tank blasting and coating and lining job. Including

tank Blasting and Hydro-jetting inspection activities.

. Propeller garnet blast and silicon coating.

. Chartek fire proof coating on various modules.

. Was involved in the tank survey where the coating was damaged and

identifying the Distinguish areas where coatings have failed and rust

or corrosion is present from areas that are just dirty or have

staining. Categorize damage as localized or scattered.

. Conducting of destructive and non-destructive test according to the

ITP and project specification. To ensure the adhesion of the coating.

. Inspection test according to ITP like high voltage detector,

performing of MEK Test for IZS, depending on the project requirement.

. Performing holdiay test using High voltage holdiday detector and Low

voltage holdiay detector for internal tank and cold Wrapping of

underground pipe.

. Paints were used as per the project requirement, few paints which I

came across are, HEMPEL, JOTUN, INTERNATIONAL PAINT,

. And for the internal coating of condenser, Pipe, are BELZONA,

CHESTERTON.
