EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
2014 Academic Coordinator and Academic Guidance
Trillium College
As the Academic Coordinator at Trillium College I am responsible for
student support and credit recovery as well as instructor observations and
training. Additionally, I interview potential instructors and monitor
students' academic progress and attendance in order to succeed in their
program. I am also responsible for the organization of student cooperative
field training and clinical outreaches. By collaborating with instructors
I act as a support for students achieving their academic and career goals.

Tutor Doctor
As a tutor with Tutor Doctor I go to students' homes and offer educational
support for students in grades 1-12. My curricular concentrations are
English and literacy. After each session I write a detailed report on the
student's strengths and weaknesses in the session and explain the various
exercises I came up with to enhance student learning and retention.

As an administrative assistant with JLC Homes I write cheques, maintain
spending records of building projects, pay utilities, submit and pick up
building permits and legal documentation for home building and organize
information for ease of business operation.

where needed. I incorporate a variety of organizational and study skills

Antler River Elementary School
Antler River is a First Nation's elementary school where I teach grades 1-8
when regularly scheduled teachers are absent. This position requires a lot
of quick thinking in circumstances where teaching materials have not been
prepared. The ability to garner respect amongst a group is also imperative
in order to ensure students complete their work and stay on task.

Curves Fitness
Taught women correct and safe exercise techniques in order to achieve
optimal results. Using training and personal knowledge I assisted women to
set and accomplish weight loss and healthy living goals. This position
required constant rapport with many patrons during and after exercise
sessions.
VOLUNTEER and EXTRA-CURRICULAR EXPERIENCE
May 2014 London-Middlesex Children's Water Festival
As a supervisor at Upper Thames Conservation Area during the London-
Middlesex Children's Water Festival I helped ensure children were kept safe
and were accounted for.
March 2013 First Nation, Metis, Inuit Family Literacy Night
The intention of the FNMI Family Literacy Night was to expose First
Nation's students and their parents or siblings to what content they could
expect to see on the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test.

Course I volunteered at Saunders Secondary School
teaching grade ten students various skills for writing the OSSLT. I taught
approximately 8 half hour sessions throughout the day. Each session's
participation ranged from ten to twenty students.
June 2012 Kids Tri-4 Kids Volunteer
Assisted in various aspects of the kids triathlon held for children
ages 3-13. Proceeds went to Child Reach, a non-profit organization that
assists families, children and professionals; offering after-school
programs, parental programs and community aid.
Nov. 2011 National Council for Teachers of English (NCTE) Conference
I travelled to Chicago to further my awareness of
the interests and practices of English teachers and educators in North
America. There I participated in a round table presentation on the
benefits of utilizing multimodal technological tools when teaching English.
2009- 2012 Saunders Secondary School Classroom Volunteer.
As a volunteer in various English classrooms I
would attend classes and help students that needed additional assistance.
This was an excellent experience as it exposed me to different teaching
styles as well as teaching philosophies. I also took advantage of
opportunities to tutor students one on one and in small group settings.
