Responsibilities:

. Manage the four members Datacenter Operations Team in Memphis

Datacenter.

. Manage the day-to-day activities in the data center to ensure the

availability of datacenter round the clock.

. Provide first level support for various servers by monitoring them for

performance issues, identifying faults and providing resolution in

consultation with various support teams. The infrastructure includes

Windows Servers, UNIX Servers, AS/400 Servers and IBM Tivoli Storage

Manager.

. Monitoring and maintenance of business critical applications hosted on

various AS/400 and UNIX Systems.

. Incident management, by making use of the defined processes for

handling the incidents, root cause analysis of the recurring issues,

coordinating various teams for issue resolution, proper record keeping

of all the activities in the datacenter as per good documentation

practices.

. Environmental Monitoring and reporting by monitoring the physical

environment of the datacenter which hosts redundant power supplies,

air conditioners, monitoring devices, fire suppression systems and

security systems. It also involves supporting the Corrective and

Preventative Maintenance of Environmental Equipments.

. Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Management which includes

periodic backup of business critical data using various backup

methodologies, tape management and offsite storage.

. Assist in providing support for the installation and de-installation

of hardware in the data center.

. Responsible for managing shift schedules in the data center, vendor

relationships.

. Responsible for monitoring daily weekly and monthly job schedules and

respond to job abends.
