I was responsible for creating an iPad app for Cosmopolitan “Cosmo for Guys”. I worked directly with the editorial

team to identify requirements and build the app from scratch. As part of this process I created the framework to add

new content, and process the content by using a widget approach that processed user stories each month leveraging

reusable code.

Based on the success of the app framework, Hearst Magazines embarked on a project to migrate all Hearst brand

magazines to a new in house platform. This enabled easy management of new content pushed out each month by the

magazine editorial teams. My contribution to this muti year migration project was building reusable assets such as:

● Fetching data from backend APIs.

● Sending push notifications to users each month notifying them of new content.

● Creating reusable widgets that would process the magazine content and display to the user on mobile device.

● A UI to show all the pages marked as favorites by users so users could easily navigate to those pages.

● Refactoring of code so as to adapt to Apple’s new APIs.

● Added 3r arty analytics such as Omniture, Flurry etc.
