Senior Architectural Designer & Team Leader/Project Coordinator
Responsible for development of wide range of renovation and new design
services for various sized clients: private, corporate and government.
Projects range from complete 3D models to standard 2D plans for
construction. Work with multi discipline engineers and outside vendors,
developing budgets and project schedules to meet deadline constraints.
Coordination of project team meetings throughout design and construction,
review of RFI's, product submittals and change orders.
Project Achievements:
* Space Planning to Construction: 20,000 square feet unfinished
warehouse space and converted into usable office and training areas
for US Army. Within volume of space, incorporated design for second
floor future additions.
* Intermodal Design: New design and construction of pedestrian and
vehicle movement from existing building to another building. Designed
to meet LEED Silver status.
* Clean Room Design: Expansion of an existing clean room for an
industrial production area. This area not only had to meet the
highest clean room standards, but the schedule of work need to be
flexible enough not to interfere with other production lines.
* Building Envelope Commissioning: Review of new building design and
construction documents for specified projects that typically are LEED
registered.

Developed drafting/design company from the ground up to the success of
designing stores for a national restaurant franchise. Spearheaded project
design, residential and commercial, ranging from single family homes, to
retail space, to large corporate offices. Coordinated larger projects with
multiple outside engineers and vendors for design/engineering of specific
needs. Prepared design schedules, along with construction schedules and
budgets. Was the direct contact for client relations and projects, along
with developing relationships of new clients.
Project Achievements:
* New Construction: Design of a 40,000 square foot, three floor, Golf
Resort Clubhouse. This Clubhouse included a restaurant and retail
shops.
* Tenant Fit-outs: National franchise, (Subway) developed designs and
documents that would be used for construction and permits. All store
designs met strict corporate design criteria and were approved by the
corporate leaders.
* Custom Residence: Design for private owners dream homes. Meeting the
challenge of staying within a homeowner's budget, designing to meet
their needs, and maintaining a strict schedule.
* Commercial Interior Space Planning: Performed multiple functions
within existing spaces to accommodate the client's needs. This
included 3D and 2D plans and renderings.
From 1998 to 2002, I worked with seasoned architects and engineers to
refine my design skills, document requirements, and managerial skills
working on residential and commercial projects. Prior to 1998, I worked as
a Designer/Field Supervisor for a national concert/event stage company for
eleven years. My responsibilities ranged from stage design, structural
requirements, finished show presentations, material takeoffs and on-site
construction with tight construction schedules.
