Objective
I am in search of a dynamic and challenging position in the safety field. I am looking to share my years of experience in preventing accidents and incidents, increasing cost savings, providing training, and educating organizations and employees in all areas of safety. Reads Moving Systems Inc- Director of Safety – November 2012 to Present (RMS)
Design, implement and manage a zero harm safety program, for three RMS locations. The goal is to align management and employees with a RMS safety philosophy and culture which focuses on injury prevention through proper training, thorough understanding and acceptance.
Developed, implemented and managed on boarding of all new employees from management to helpers. All on boarding training is inclusive of safety, transportation, ergonomic, first aid, emergency preparedness, physical protection, supervisory contacts, proper job instruction, hazard identification, standard work procedures, job safety analysis, personal protective equipment, skill training, planned job observation, planned inspections, rules and practices employee reviews, OSHA, DOT FMCSA, and company handbook review.
Conduct safety audits and location inspections in order to ensure compliance of all regulations of all regulatory agencies.
Deliver to management, and all employees, policy compliance and regulatory changes.
Provide companywide “hands on” DOT safety and regulatory compliance training, road test, driver training, vehicle legalization training, as well as safe driver responsibility.
Responsible for directing accident and incident investigations identifying root causes of accidents, incidents, and near miss incidents.
Ensure delivery and application of fleet safety policies.
Developed and administered sustainable corrective action plans, inclusive of retraining and application of appropriate countermeasures.
Manage all driver files to meet/exceed DOT compliance standards.
Design and direct companywide drug testing program.
Maintain safeguards of all confidential company information.
Manage maintenance shop inclusive of all areas of mechanic training in order to meet all OSHA and company related training criteria.
Conduct ride-alongs with drivers in order to receive “first hand” driver execution of safe driving policies.
Developed and administered a companywide audit process to report on safety, workers’ compensation, and other exposures, at each location.
Work as a member of AMSA and SALTA safety committees in order to direct the development of risk mitigation programs
Served as company liaison for all agencies in order to stay abreast of, and in compliance with, current and new laws pertaining to, OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, PA DOT, PA PUC, PA OSHA.
Represent RMS in all legal inquires or proceedings inclusive of safety or workmen’s compensation related issues.
Work closely with Insurance companies and third party health providers.

Enhanced, and implemented safety programs and guidelines to reduce company injury through information/compliance sessions. Worked closely with OSHA, MOSHA, MMTA, DOT, as well as other regulatory agencies in order to keep in step with current rules and regulations related to safety in the workplace.
Reduced company fleet insurance rates by a half million dollars, through the implementation of training for drivers as well as driver dispatchers. Collaborated with our insurance carrier to achieve the highest evaluation scores.
Represented Bond Transfer Co Inc, in all legal actions brought due to safety related issues. Performance data shows 98% of all cases were won.
Attended safety meetings/briefings with our legal counsel, and other attorneys, in an effort to stay current and compliant as it relates to laws governing; workman comp, new hire legislation, and other regulatory fields.
