Swing Frame OD weld area of Drill Pipe

Heated the Weld area with the Normalizer to the required temperature, Soak time and then quenched the weld area to

the specific quench time

Heated the weld area with the Temper to the required time and temperature

Checked to see if the pipe and tool joint were straight with the Saddle Gauge

Used OD Lathe machine to cut weld off the weld area and meet the required OD specifications

Faced off the front of the pipe with the Face off machine to remove the contaminants and to provide a better bond for

the weld

Maintained an organized work space

Always aware of surroundings and potential work hazzards
