OBJECTIVES

A mechanical power engineer with a comprehensive knowledge of centrifugal pumps fundamentals, types,

applications, operation, performance parameters, governing laws, Standards and its controllers. I’m familiar with

leading brands in the competitive centrifugal pumps Market (i.e. KSB, Grundfos, Flygt, Paco, Wilo, Salmson,

Rovatti, Varisco, Mas, American-Marsh, Fairbanks Nijhuis, Aurora and Patterson) and other electro-mechanical

products Such as Hatz and VM Diesel Engines, AEG, WEG, Dutchi, and US Low Voltage Motors & DAF and

Reflex Pressure and Expansion Tanks. I have a little bit experience about diesel generators (Perkins and Kohler),

types, laws, and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS). I possess a very good interpersonal, communication and

negotiation skills, and have the ability to understand, evaluate and compare the electro-mechanical equipment

and to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external vendors, contractors and

consultants. I enjoy being part of, as well as managing (sometimes), motivating and training, a successful and

EXPERIENCE

From 17th March, 2009 to 28th February, 2010:

Military Service in a power generator shop in Cairo (Maintenance and Mechanical and Electrical Repair for Hawk Diesel

Power Generators).

From 2nd March, 2010 to 31st October, 2011:

Position: Mechanical Sales Engineer.

Reporting to: Sales Manager.

Company: Egyptian Electrical Works and Mechanics Company.

Location: Egypt – Cairo.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Visiting customers to present the company products and services and surveying the market to bring new

customers to increase the sales share of the company.

Studying and reviewing projects and tenders documents (i.e. BOQ, Layouts, Specifications and other

relevant documents.

Selection of the suitable product (i.e. Pumps, Diesel Engines, Pressure Tanks, Low Voltage Motors and

Valves) according to the given documents.

Provide the customers with full techno-commercial proposals and quotations.

Prepare full technical submittal for the products.

Work directly with consultants, Contractors, customers and end-users to get Company products pre-

specified/pre-selected.

Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows and Exhibitions.

Following up the submitted offers with customers.

Negotiation and Closing deals with the customers.

Attending technical meetings with customers and consultants for product clarifications and handling the

technical aspects.

Liaison with the factory to check the availability of materials and to follow up the order execution process

(assembly and fabrication of pumps and control panels) with the production engineers.

Liaison with the order processing department to check and follow up the shipment date of the materials.

Following up the assembling and fabrication of pumps and control panels with the production engineers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Reviewing and understanding projects and tenders documents i.e. BOQ, Specification, and Layout…etc.

Selection of suitable product (i.e. Pumps, Diesel Generator, Pressure Tanks) accordingly.

Providing sales team with techno-commercial proposals and quotations for the proposed materials.

Prepare full technical submittal including product description, catalogs, and literatures, engineering

drawings, wiring diagrams, and compliance statement sheets to be submitted for approval.

Preparing Company and Products Prequalification Profiles.

Provide technical solutions and handle the commercial and technical aspects of our products.

Providing after sales technical support (I.e. warranty certificate & letters, certificate of origin, factory test

certificates, letters for clarifications, installation and operation manuals).

Liaison with KSB factory and other vendors to get the engineering drawings, and all other necessary

documents.

Contact with production team in case a customized or engineered or special materials are requested.

Collaborate with and support Company sales representatives in the regions of the kingdom.

Attending technical meetings with consultants, Contractors and our sales team.

Conduct presentations & and promotional trainings to explain our products and services to customers and

consulting engineers.

Train the new and recently joined sales engineers and executives.

Prepare Technical and Commercial Analysis and Comparison between Vendors.

Request quotations from local and international Vendors for pumps, Gen Sets, Pressure tanks, Control

Panels, Diesel Engines and other parts.

Vendor negotiation and Price Controlling.

Checking availability of materials with the warehouse and suppliers.

Investigation of alternative materials and sourcing other suppliers in case of unavailability of the

requested materials.

Reviewing the received purchase orders for checking compliance with our submitted quotations.

Providing the direct manager with costing sheets for review before releasing the purchase order.

Discussing the technical sections in the contracts.

Liaison with the supply chain & procurement and material planning team in order to prepare and place

the correct order to the local and international vendors.

Develop and maintain good relations with vendors by providing feedback about the performance and

opportunities.

Keep and maintain our engineering data base up to date (Know-how, Literature, Drawings…etc.).

Participating in the business development & work improvement and solving problems in collaboration with

our business development engineer and concerned persons.

Providing reports about the quotations status after getting updates from sales team.

ACHIEVMENTS

Preparing easy and clear pricelist for all the standard materials to be a reference for the sales people. This

pricelist helped the engineering department more to save the time wasted in quoting the standard items and

helped the sales people to reply fast to customer inquiries without coming back to the engineering department.

Helping in establishing a strong engineering data base including drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, Know-How,

Literatures, Catalogues, and Submittal Templates.

Achieving customer satisfaction by improving the time response to customer inquiries.
