Experience

Telecom Technician - March 2012 to Present. Subcontractor, Tampa, Fl. Responsible for

installation and maintenance of Nortel Telephone and Voicemail s ystems including CICS, MICS,

BCM’S, and CAT 5 and CAT 6 Cabling and termination . I am familiar with a variety of systems

including some VOIP systems and Comdial FX -II systems. I am also familiar with fiber

installation and fiber connections.

Telecom Technician - June 2004 to Present. I currently subcontract with Quest Diagnostics

maintaining telecom and data equipment for multiple locations throughout the state of Florida.

Duties include relocating and reconfiguring computers, installing CAT -5 and CAT-6 Cabling and

extending Data Switches and Routers. I also install and maintain Nortel telephone and Voice

Mail Systems.

Operations Technician - Jan. 2000 - May 2004.Telcove/ Adelphia Business Solutions Inc.

Tampa, Fl. I was responsible for installing and maintaining digital telecom and data networks. I

am experienced with T-1 circuits, channel banks, routers and various other CPE networks. I

worked in a central office environment with Fujitsu and Carrier Access Add/Drop Multiplexer

equipment and ADC DSX-1, DSX-3 cross connect networks. I am also familiar with fiber optic

networks and sonnet ring. I have a strong knowledge of test equipment and testing procedures.

I completed a technical training course in network testing with T -Berd 950/T-Berd 2209/T-Berd

2310.

Telephone Technician - T-COMM, Inc. in Tampa, Fl. Aug. 1996 – Dec. 1999. I was responsible

for the repair and testing of Northern Telecom PBX systems and various other KEY systems.

This includes board level component repair. I Installed and serviced telecom systems and data

cabling. A majority of systems maintained were Northern Telecom and Lucent - AT&T telephone

KEY and PBX systems.

Telecommunications Manager - D & S Communications in Largo, Fl. Dec. 1989 – July 1996.

Installed and maintained Northern Telecom PBX equipment for the use of testing and repairing

telecommunications equipment. Duties include quality control of refurbished telecom system s. I

managed technicians, warehouse personnel and overall process of operations.
