Seaman: Supervisor, Laborer & Preserver
• Managed and conducted over 500 hours of preventative and corrective maintenance on parts and
a multitude of life saving equipment which enhanced the overall safety of personnel. This
contributed to the overall operational readiness of the ship, reduced the number of injuries during
training exercises, and improved the effectiveness for combat.
• As a line handler, assisted in the safety of four boat crew members during 45 rigorous small boat
evolutions. The efforts were critical in the interdiction of 4,998 kg of illicit narcotics valued at
$116 million in support of a Counter-Transitional Organized Crime deployment.
• Supervised up to ten personnel in preservation and redesigning of ship’s spaces.
• Involved in countless hours of firefighting and damage control training.
