EXPERIENCE
Lead North Campus Student Government Association to complete their mission in serving the students
and the community, by doing community service, fund raisers, and linking students to Campus life.
Tutor, FSCJ: Academic Success Center, Trio Student Support Services Jan. 2010 – Dec. 2013
Helped students to pass remedial classes, advance in their programs of study and learn 3000, 4000 material
for the first time. Subjects tutored: math, natural science, health science and English.
I also held students accountable as a one-on-one student manager. I gave a lot of advice and
encouragement, and kept them focused on the goal.
In addition to working for the school, I met with clients as a freelance tutor. I would meet students
anywhere and anytime, to make sure they got the concept and could get the work done. One such
accomplishment: I helped a group of first-year nursing students get their minds in gear for a rigorous
program by offering group tutoring packages and also working with them one-on-one.
Journalist, Ad Manager, Photo Editor FSCJ: The Campus Voice Sept. 2009 – May 2013
Wrote articles about campus events and community activities according to APA standards,
as a Journalist; managed advertisement placements and payments with in-College and for-
profit businesses, as the Advertising Manager; developed budding photographers and
edited photos for newsprint, as the Photo Editor.
Job duties for Journalist included: writing 400-600 word articles according to APA
standards and the red ink of the Adviser. Articles were varied, from school news to
community events and other ideas relevant to students, like “Importance of a College
Degree”.
Job duties for Ad Manager included: managing active accounts; recruiting new accounts
via cold calls and leads; working with publisher and news team to ensure ads were correct.
Job duties for Photo Editor included: spearhead the position by figuring out the details for
the position, recruit photographers within the College and develop them, prepare photos
for newsprint according to color/size/resolution standards.

Photographer/Owner of ZLG Photography June 2012 – Present
Contacted prospective clients and managed requests via referrals. Photographed clients’ weddings,
birthdays, graduations, and parties. Arraigned and photographed portraits of individuals, groups, and
babies. Also did video for wedding, commercial and music performances. As a side and a way to upgrade
photography gear, I bought and sold used equipment through Craigslist and eBay.
Edited photos using Lightroom and Photoshop software, and videos with Final Cut Pro.
Printed, mailed and emailed photos to clients.
