WPPL SWAN support engineer at Telecommunications Systems

Support of the Support Wide Area Network (SWAN), Secure Internet Protocol Routing (SIPR)/ Non-
Secure Internet Protocol Routing (NIPR) Access Point (SNAP), Wireless Point-to-Point Link (WPPL) and
Commercialization efforts. The SNAP, WPPL and SWAN are an integral part of the Operation Enduring
Freedom footprint architecture for the United States Combatant Commands, and approximately 1,000
terminals are deployed to support multiple Areas of Operation (AOs). These terminals provide intra-country
communications within and between Regional Commands in Afghanistan, and inter-theater communications
with reach back capabilities to other countries/continents. Installed, operated, and maintained VSAT
SATCOM equipment for the USMC NIPR/SIPR networks, Wireless Point to Point ODFM links. entry level
network administation, familiarization with Routing protocols to include: Ripv2, EIGRP, OSPF, DMVPN,
SNMP configurations. personal wireless communication devices, Promina multiplexing systems, secure data
and voice systems. Automated VSATS, fixed terminals, various crypto fill and load devices.
