Mechanical Design Engineer. (Direct Position) May 2013- Present

1. Developed and Designed Piping Gas Safety Equipment on top of Digester

Covers including Pressure/Vacuum Vents Breather Values, Flame Arresters,

3-way Safety Selector Valves along with Emergency Vent/Manhole Covers,

Drip Traps, Sediment Trap, Condensate Accumlator and Cover Position

Indications.

1. All projects are designed for In-line and End line piping solutions,

sizing, and layouts.

2. Piping criteria designed around ANSI/API, EN1092-PN10/16 mating

flanges. (125-150 lb FF/RF)

2. Designs are used to reduce emissions on the market.

3. Applications deal with biochemical substances and petroleum in

downstream applications. Wastewater management of projects.

4. AutoCad and Inventor - 3D program are used to create each design. AS400

is used on BOM side of each project.

5. Calculated Pressure /Vacuum set pressures, and load weights.

6. Gathered information and designed main line projects within the company.

Starting from conception of casting, plate or other materials; Designing

their original form; Creating the machined drawings with GD&T;

Developing welds if necessary, for each application.

7. Lead Engineer on Drip Trap, Sediment Trap and Conservation Breather

Mechanical Design Engineer (Contract Position) January 2012 -April 2013

12. Developed and Created a new Fire suppression system in our biggest

locomotive

13. Sized the fittings and conduit,conducted wiring path, and mounted from

existing components around its structure; various sizes in NPT (National

Pipe Thread), and Solenoid Ball Valves were used.

14. Fire suppression system included Junction boxes which also mounted on

existing hood structure

15. Helped design the whole Engine hood Structure and End Structure on a

Locomotive for Saudi Arabia.

16. Also helped build and design the large Cooling Hood Structure on the

Locomotive

17. Helped collaborate and design a Dynamic Brake Partition

18. Designed and helped develop an Engine Turbo Hood.

19. Helped design and Rebuild the structure in one of the Generator

Compartments.

20. Redesigned an Equipment Rack in the locomotive in order to achieve

clearance with new components in the locomotive.

21. Developed and Designed Pressure switches on a Flange Mount Brackets

inside the locomotive.

22. Developed paths for wiring and determined specific lengths to the

Pressure switches

23. Sheet metal (10-18 Ga. Thickness), Columns, and Beams were used in

numerous designs.

24. Lead specific projects from conception to final acceptance testing at

our facility.

25. Designed Vertical Form Fill Seal Baggers, Combination weighers, and Bag-

in-Box systems.

26. Developed new innovative designs for numerous Cartoner machines that

were later manufactured into production.

27. Developed all designs in the following material: Stainless Steel,

Aluminum, anodized or nickel plated, urethane (plastic), and coal roll

steel. All materials were manufactured in the appropriate gauges for the

use of the project.

28. Used Helical Worm Gear Reducers, with brakes and without, for the

company on certain applications.

29. Designed and developed several Sprocket Assemblies for the Cartoner

machines as well as the projects pneumatics.

30. All designs were generated in Unigraphics and AutoCAD.

31. Designed Security Enhancements for Nuclear plants. (Defense Positions,

BBRE, Ballistic Steel, Alloy Steels, Plexi Glass, Supports)

32. Designed three different Development Systems that were later

manufactured into production.

33. Designed Physical Layouts for conduit placement in plants and for

outdoor installation

34. Designed and manufactured numerous Defense Positions in the USA using

AutoCAD, Solidworks and Micro Station.

installation of systems at sites.

42. Designed a platform for Rock Tenn Company's slitter machine on the

ground floor. The design had three different sized stairways, one along

a catwalk which provided easier access walk over the slitter machine.

43. Provided digital images on Solid Works and Auto CAD, which was later

designed and built in the facility.

44. Developed a presentation displaying of the new design to the President,

CEO, and the Managers to the company in Isometric view, Standards view

and Exploded View.

45. Also displayed the Bill of Materials list and pricing of parts list in

the presentation which resulted in a savings of over $3,000 to there

original design.

46. The design I created were all based off of OSHA standards in there

facility.
