During my tenure as Director Of Operations as I was in charge of all operations (Locally and Overseas). I was involved heavily on both the Development and Infrastructure side of the business as well as the day to day production support.
My duties required that I managed or worked with the following:
Data processing teams to ensure that they had all the tools necessary to perform their duties.
Developers to ensure that all business logic was efficient and met requirements.
QA Manager to ensure that all aspects of code delivery met the company as well as the customers standards.

In charge of implementing a SSAE-16 (formerly SAS-70) on all business operations for the firm. This certification is still in place today at Investment Cafe by E-Front.

Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business's Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)
Test backups to ensure we can meet the business' Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends
Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms
As new systems are brought in-house, choose whether to use clustering, log shipping, mirroring, Windows Azure, or other technologies
