Senior QA Engineer

Project: TIBCO Loyalty Labs – Client Portal for ENGAGE Project

TIBCO Engage is a SaaS Web based application which helps retailers understand their

customers, predict their behaviour, and deliver personalized experiences. With the ability to

capture and respond to any event in real time, marketers can act at the moment it matters

most. This project increases purchase frequency and develop brand advocacy with a world

class loyalty program.

Responsibilities:

Review the requirement specifications and create test plans, test cases, test scripts and

implementation plan.

API testing using SOAP UI and Validated XML request and response in order automation.

Functionality testing at UI layer using Selenium web drive r.

User Acceptance testing for every release.

Performed cross browser testing.

Verified Transactional logs in the backend to debug and analyze the issues in detail

using WinSCP.

Helped to maintain code by Regression testing and User Acceptance Testing and tracking

Project: Harley Davidson STAR Standard Integration

Project was to enable HD system to be compatible with STAR standard technology. STAR's

objectives are to define the open, standard XML message formats for dealer -to-OEM

communication to define an open, standard architecture to support the delivery of messages

between dealers and OEMs, and to standardize the dealership IT infrastructure. This project

involved creating SOAP services for communicating STAR standard compatible XML

messages.

Responsibilities:

Reviewed and understood STAR standard and BODs.

Created test plan involving 70+ XML test files for various XML transactions.

Created end-to-end test cases using VSTF for testing SOAP services.

Debugged SOAP services to find out proper SOAP faults are being generated for negative

testing.

Logged and verified bugs in TFS test manager.

Performed UAT for different releases.

Verified that XML message for different BODs by client system follows STAR Standards

Tested and verified that parsed XML messages m ade its way to the database correctly.

Participate in triage meetings and work with the development team to ensure testing

issues are resolved by providing defect reports.

Accomplishment: HD team was impressed by our testing methodology and extended

project terms & requested to develop similar testing tool for their QA team.

Project: TIBCO Loyalty Labs – Database Optimization & Performance Tuning

TIBCO loyalty lab also provides data warehouse for data analytics and reporting to help

decision making in ENGAGE project. It includes processing of terabytes of data which took

days to process. Goal of this project was to make the data processing faster and smoother.

Responsibilities:

Used SQL profiler and SQL execution plans to find bottlenecks in the queries, stored

procedures, and views.

As a part of regression testing verified that the result of tuned component is the same as

previous.

Tested results of views with original data using Red-Gate Data Compare tool.

Tested and verified SSRS Report results generated from views.

Developed elaborated results to find out gaps in developer created views.
