Professional Experience
Spirent Communications - Performance Analysis Wireless Products (PAWP),
Eatontown, NJ 1997-2014
Senior Designer, (2011 - 2014)
Lead Mechanical Designer between multinational teams for the next
generation of Network Emulator products.
. Instrumental in the department's successful migration from Inventor 2010
to SolidWorks 2011, resulting in more efficient data sharing with vendors
& contract manufacturers reducing product development time.
. Provided design support and expertise to the design lead of the WTS-122
Wireless Test Station to ensure successful product launch,
. Successfully launched mechanical design and coordinated design activities
on what is now known as the Keysight Technologies E7515A UXM. Product
currently available for sale worldwide.
. Promoted several times in recognition for demonstrating superior
dedication to work and for being a contributing team player in continued
operational efficiency and company growth.
Physical Designer II, (2005 - 2011)
Lead Mechanical Designer for multiple product launches, including SR8048
TCU, SR3452 CDMA Network Emulator with built in RF converter module and
SR3462 1xEV-DO Network Emulator.
. Innovated the mechanicals for the SR8048 latest generation of RF switch
box, in which the modular power supply assembly and base chassis could be
used across multiple platforms, thereby reducing unit cost.
. Key contributor in the department's implementation and migration from
Autodesk's AutoCAD to Inventor 2008 & Vault.
. Received "Excellence Awards" in 2006 and 2008 for outstanding design and
unparalleled job performance.
. Travelled to assembly production houses to instruct manufacturing
engineers on product development.
Designer/Drafter, (2000 - 2005)
Developed detailed design drawings and specifications using computer-
assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
. Collaborated with colleagues to design, layout and detail components and
systems, resulting in resolution of design flaws and/or other problems.
. Reviewed and analyzed specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas and
related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the
procedures and instructions to be followed. Leading to improved product
quality.
Engineering Drafter, (1997 - 2000)
Verified prototype sheet metals, created part numbers and bills of
materials; generated manufacturing instructions and detailed part drawings
for external vendors (i.e. sheet metal, wire harnesses or circuit board
houses).
. Received the "Presidents Award" in 1998.
