CO Technician
Provide routine maintenance, test and turn-up, commission,
provision, and roll traffic onto new and/or existing optimized
fiber optic networks (SONET), switches, DAC's, routers and other
Telco equipment for FairPoint. Maintain inventory, disconnect,
install, MAC equipment, services and databases throughout numerous
FairPoint CO's including all land lines, T1 and T3 circuits
terminating from CO to remote sites. Interface and assist FairPoint
Network Support Team with troubleshooting and resolving complex
customer issuses involving VOIP and other converged technologies
using a laptop with various peripheral software, optical power
meters, circuit loopback, and T-Berd circuit testing.
