CO Technician

Provide routine maintenance, test and turn-up, commission,

provision, and roll traffic onto new and/or existing optimized

fiber optic networks (SONET), switches, DAC's, routers and other

Telco equipment for FairPoint. Maintain inventory, disconnect,

install, MAC equipment, services and databases throughout numerous

FairPoint CO's including all land lines, T1 and T3 circuits

terminating from CO to remote sites. Interface and assist FairPoint

Network Support Team with troubleshooting and resolving complex

customer issuses involving VOIP and other converged technologies

using a laptop with various peripheral software, optical power

meters, circuit loopback, and T-Berd circuit testing.

DC Power Technician

Supervise, train, and evaluate technicians who run, stitch, and

terminate power cables, mount cable racks and Telco equipment.

Responsible for installing, commissioning, testing, and turn-up of

DC powered systems; batteries, rectifiers, inverters, BDFB's, UPS

systems and associated infrastructure used throughout Comcast Head-

end offices, Century-Link CO's, and several other Telco companies.

Conduct wireless site surveys using AirMagnet Survey software to collect

"live and real-world" signal, performance, and spectrum data. Measure

network performance and RF coverage in the most scientific way possible to

Install power cables for Telco Rack, ground cable for Node B, T1 cable;

terminate all the T1s to the OVP, install DC breakers for Node B and RF

jumpers utilizing co-site solution. Sweep RF Jumpers. Label and dress all

cables and equipment as per spec. Download commissioning script to NodeB.

Commission all new cards. Set DXU in local mode. Repair and check E1

traffic routing using sweep tests. Operate, calibrate, and interpret test

results for various test equipment. Remove old BTS/Radio/Antenna and

installing new ones. Provide field support for connecting and reconnecting,

disconnecting, upgrading, downgrading, and relocating; and also for

installing, connecting various options available with customer s equipment

.Providing O&M support to Cingular for WCDMA radio network in the area.

Monitoring and supporting the customer in their operations, fault

management and troubleshooting of the WCDMA Network's equipment, node B,

Level IV Technician

Responsible for proper equipment installation, testing,

documenting, and MACs, while providing quality assurance for AT&T

via NEC. Interface with AT&T NOC and NEC testers to troubleshoot

and resolve technical problems using optical power meters and light

source, circuit loopbacks, and T-Berd/FireBerd circuit testing.

Analyze specs, SMOPs, MOPs, and blueprints to determine proper

cable runs and equipment installs for CO.
