winning designs of home products, furniture, gifts, fashion accessories and Christmas trims sold at retailers

such as Crate and Barrel, Pier 1, Target, and various European and Asian importers and retailers.

Conducted design, production, and entrepreneurship related seminars and skills training/upgrading. Liaised

with factory owners and buyers when developing products. Experimented with materials and technologies

WFTO-More than 100 companies and organizations aimed at improving the livelihood of members by

making them competitive in the local and world markets through intensive design development, liaison with

buyers, better production techniques, and entrepreneurship training.

Responsible for product development, project management, and training-related activities. Developed

thousands of products for more than 20 companies covering almost 50,000 artisans. Many of the products

introduced the companies into bigger commercial markets, enabling them to participate in trade fairs such

as Messe Frankfurt, Germany.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT HEAD

Product development for gifts, decorative accessories, house ware, tabletops, and seasonal decors using

recycled paper pulp, iron, wire, polyresin, and various natural materials. Led design, production research,

costing, exhibition design, and set-up in local and international fairs. New designs contributed an annual

turn-over of around USD0.15m-0.25m to the company’s sales and diversified lines, successfully penetrating

the European and American markets. Buyers include Raeder Wohnzubehoer, Drescher Gmbh, Artfleur,

Haymann Kollektionen, Gisela Graham, Target, Crate and Barrel, Hobby Lobby, Pier 1, Myer, and Mindart.

An importer of gifts, decorative accessories, house ware, tabletops, and seasonal decors. Led design

coordinated with vendors for samples and production in the Philippines, India, and Sri Lanka. Diversified

product lines resulting in increased sales of more than USD1.0m for the floral, hobby, and garden sectors in
