Procurement Manager for $35 million dollar Turn Around at Shell Chemicals
Plant in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. Met and improved deliveries of critical materials,
equipment and subcontractors. Managed to coordinate specialty contractors to
arrive just in time for their activities thus saving the owner money on idle time that
otherwise would be charged to the project. Kept contract records per Shell
Chemicals standards and was congratulated during close out verifications.
Project Manager for $1.2 million dollar construction of a combined steel and
reinforced steel structure plus on site fabrication of a steel sheet silo for a coal dust
feed system. Exceeded gross profit margin by 15% although the contract estimate
omitted significant quantities of materials.
Project Manager for a $1.9 million dollar construction project at Lilly Chemical
Plant in Guayama, Puerto Rico. The project consisted on mechanical and interior
finishes construction plus pipe rack expansion for the Duloxetine expansion project.
2000 to 2004 Dick Corporation, San German, PR
Responsible for 11 million dollars’ worth of sub-contracted and self-performed
work on a new 122 bed hospital (Hospital Nuestra Señora de la Concepción).
Managed to make additional gross profit on interior construction, laboratory,
specialty and kitchen equipment in addition to reduce losses on underestimated
items such as clean room walls and architectural hardware.

Responsible for the supervision of engineering department employees which
included HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, boiler mechanics and laundry
