Development of Code for Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer Applications

Generated C, C++ codes for a Lid Driven Cavity for different configurations and for different Reynolds Number

values.

Implemented Stream Function Vorticity approach and Semi Explicit solver to solve Navier-Stokes equation. Finite

volume Method has been used to solve the equations.

The solution process involved mesh generation, discretization, solution and post processing. C, C++ Codes has

been developed for the linear form of the equation and has been time marched implicitly and explicitly.

The data has been verified with commercial CFD package Ansys-Fluent.

I NDUSTRIAL TRAINING

Site: BMW Plant Chennai 2 Weeks

Studied operation of different shops in assembly line including inspection and testing shops. Work study of

the manufacturing process has been carried out.

Employed industrial management techniques including 5S, 6ϭ Total Quality Management, Zero Defect to

optimize the production, maximize productivity and reduce defects.
