International Bilingual Project Manager / Salesman / QA/QC / Technical Supervisor & Training Instructor
Accomplishments: My career over the last 30 years has taken me to 17 states across the USA and 30 countries around the world, to every continent except Antarctica, and I have lived among and worked with people of over 70 nationalities on pipeline construction projects onshore and offshore. Clients have repeatedly requested me to return for new projects. My pre-job assessments have detected design variations, preventing costly delays . My bilingual skills are a critical asset for clients in Latin America and a deciding factor in awarding contracts. In Chile I negotiated a contract in perpetuity between Offshore Joint Services and ENAP, the Chilean national oil company, after a four-month project I managed there with 100% uptime performance. In Venezuela I successfully mediated several labor disputes between local Spanish-speaking workers and English-speaking representatives of the pipeline construction contractor. In Colombia our team won a 20-year contract with Ecopetrol, the national oil company. Reports and photos of my work appear in company brochures and newsletters and in Proinpetrol proyectos de ingeniería y petróleos (Proinpetrol Engineering and Petroleum Projects), published in hardcover in Colombia, where I developed, marketed, sold, and manufactured over 20,000 reusable pipeline support pads and installed erosion abatement ditch breakers. I also invented and patented a laptop computer support device (United States Patent 5337985). My hobbies include practicing my Spanish and helping others with their English and Spanish, writing
songs in English and Spanish, and singing and playing the guitar. I also volunteer as an ESL (English as a Second Language) Instructor. I will gladly answer your questions about the projects and bullet points listed below.
