P roject Overview : The Adjunct Processor Group 40 ( APG 40 ) is the high capacity IO

system for AXE exchanges .The system processes all the charging and billing

information of calls handled across network. The APG 40 performs capacity -demanding

data communications tasks outside the AXE Central Processor (CP), freeing up the CP

for traffic hadling tasks .
