Assigned on a project with a Telecommunication company as a System Engineer

in order to put all the network devices into Ericsson Granite (Inventory

and Management System) throughout the regions. Discovery of network devices

using SNMP to monitor the performance and availability. Gathering data of

all installed base Cisco, Juniper, Servers and other devices within the

Engineering backbone network and regional sites from knowledge base, home

grown OSS system, interface and CDP reports, scrub it and then make it

available for data migration or load manually into the Centralized

Inventory and workflow system. Worked on following tools - Cisco CTM,

Infinera DNA, Huawei U2000 Client and Solarwinds during the project.

Currently working on a VMware Capacity Planning to develop a virtualization

migration by converting Physical Servers to Virtual Machines using

Microsoft SCVMM 2008. Running scripts before and after P2V to stop and

start services and cleanup unnecessary applications. Troubleshooting and

rectifying problems which occurred during P2V. Ensuring all applications

are running smoothly after conversion. Other task includes imaging and
