Automated and packaged the installation of a wide variety
of enterprise-grade software using the RPM framework. The
rpms were pushed out to thousands of Linux servers across
the enterprise.
Scripted the deployment of the tibco, oracle coherence,
Splunk client, Tivilo license manager and other enterprise
applications using shell and Perl.
Created tools to automate the creation and management of
the RPMs in the yum repository.
Supported the developers of enterprise level applications
through the software development life cycle from dev to
production.
Primary lead on bringing new products into the
infrastructure. This task included usage analysis,
hardware specifications, ordering hardware, specifying the
storage layout, operating system configuration, network
configuration, and backup retention policies.
Managed the enterprise wide Yum repository. This included
creating gpg signing keys for each level of the
development life cycle. Creating software groups and
adding new branches for each sdlc level.
Documented enterprise wide linux standards.
Trained other team members and groups on the RPM creation
process, shell scripting best practices, and the sdlc

Presented upgrades and additions to the infrastructure

Guided development teams on log4j and syslog logging
procedures and best practices. This led to less disk
