To whom it may concern:
After reviewing the job responsibilities and qualifications for the open position of
Recruitment Manager, I am confident my skills and experience align with the criteria for the position.
I am excited for the opportunity to become a member of the Corvesta team and to utilize my
recruitment skills.
In my role with WDBJ7, my main objective was to effectively develop advertising and
marketing strategies for Roanoke area businesses. Through partnership and understanding of my
customers, I developed marketing and communications strategies utilizing market research and
analytics. Managing multiple campaigns and projects was essential for success in my position, as well
as spearheading cross departmental strategy sessions to address client needs.
As a consistent performer with the Roanoke Times for six years, my main objective was to
effectively develop recruitment strategies for area Human Resource leaders. I achieved this by using
a consultative approach and a thorough understanding of my customer’s needs .
Effective partnership and excellent communication with my clients has led to increased
revenues via online and print products for the Roanoke Times / roanoke.com as well as for our
customers. The ultimate goal is to develop a long-term business partnership through timely service,
presenting the work of the cross-functional strategy team and delivering results. This experience
taught me valuable lessons in building partnerships with my customers for long -term growth. As a
result, I have been a top-performer as a Roanoke Times team member and have received numerous
accolades including Ambassador of the Year in 2010 for the top company-wide sales performance.
For success in both my previous roles, it was vital to initiate and lead marketing strategy
sessions to craft presentations of solutions. I worked in conjunction with management in the
development of new products and conduct research in emerging digital technologies. In my job with
the Roanoke times I was officially tasked with marketing jobs.roanoke.com using social media tools
such as Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn to increase web traffic. My experience in researching and
selling new technologies to recruit qualified candidates for my clients openings give me a unique
understanding of the recruitment space and how the effectively recruit top talent.
